Tom Court (born 6 November 1980) is an Australian-born former union rugby footballer. He last played with London Irish as a loosehead prop. He was mostly a tighthead during his first season at Ulster but was switched to loosehead during the 2007/2008 season, when B. J. Botha was brought in to Ulster.
Court was chosen as a member the Ireland’s Rugby World Cup Squad in 2011. He played in the Irish 15-6 win against Australia (17 September 2011) He was an extra against the nation that he was born in.
On 23 June 2013, Court was called up by the British and Irish Lions for their tour of Australia to act as cover for Alex Corbisiero.
On 27 January 2014, it was announced that Tom Court has been signed by London Irish on a 3-year contract with the club, joining from the start of the 2014/15 Season.
Court was selected as an alternate for Ireland’s games in the 2009 RBS 6 Nations and earned his first cap in the form of a replacement to Marcus Horan during Ireland’s 38-9 victory against Italy on February 15, 2009.

Court was born in Brisbane, Australia and began his career in sport as shotputter. The shotputter has been an Australian University Champion for three years in succession and was selected for Olympic trials back in 2002. Court began playing in 2004 and has played for Queensland Reds and Manawatu as in addition to Ulster. In an interview on Ulster Rugby’s Ulster Rugby Website, Court admitted that he was playing in order to shed some weight.
Court was a member of the Ireland A team in the Churchill Cup only 16 months after he first started playing union rugby and before he played his very first match for Ulster. He is eligible to take part in internationally for Ireland by virtue of his mother – his great-grandfather, Patrick Carey, was born in County Limerick. He was also included to the 2008 Churchill Cup squad and appeared as an alternate for all three games: with the USA, England Saxons and an official Argentina XV. The player made his official Ireland debut in a match that was not capped in the match against The Barbarians at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester.
Tom Court made another appearance as a substitute, coming on in Ireland’s final game of the 2012 Six Nations against England.
