Lydy Louisy Joseph (born 14 April 1978, Venissieux, France), is a French singer from Martinique. Since 2008, she has been performing solo since joining the French Popstars’ L5 girl band.
On the day she turned 30, her debut solo album La saison des amours, was released. Lionel Florence wrote her debut single, “Assis Par Terre”, which reached Top 3 on May 26, 2008. She also performed a concert at Zenith de Nantes as part of the NRJ Music Tour. She was the opening act for Christophe Mae in 2008 and performed solo at Elysee Montmartre with William Balde on 23 June 2008. Her second single, “Mes insomnies”, was about her insomnia. The next single was “Imagine de John Lennon”, a reggae tribute of John Lennon. Her album was awarded silver certification in September 2008. She organized a lengthy French tour in 2009, visiting smaller venues.
In late 2014 she became a contestant on the fifth season of TF1’s Danse avec les stars.
Her third album “Music” was released on 18 December 2015.
Lydy left L5 in 2006 as L5’s popularity declined. After Louisy Joseph began preparing for her debut solo album, a friend suggested that she contact Pascal Obispo. He agreed to produce the album at Atletico Music studios and also provided contributions from Olivier Reine and John Mamann in a soulful, reggae, and acoustic style, far removed from L5. Louisy Joseph was also her chosen name, instead of Lydy LouisyJoseph. This effectively distanced herself from the “Lydy Of L5” days.

She applied to the Paris auditions for Popstars 2001 as Lydy Louisy Joseph. Her auditions were broadcast on M6 television station. In 2001 she was selected as a finalist to join the L5 girl group, where she was known mostly as Lydy. Their epomynous album L5 was certified diamond in 2002.
