In dissatisfaction by the use of visual art as a tool to express her feelings she turned to performing art and music. The year was 1991 when she started the spastic noise-rock band The Scissor Girls with Sue Anne Zollinger on guitar (later replaced by Kelly Kuvo), Heather Melowic on drums, and her as a bassist and vocalist.
