In the 20th round of 2011’s NRL season in the NRL season, against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Paulo made his first appearance for Parramatta in the form of an bench on the interchange in the 8-7 loss to the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium. Paulo was the only player in the Eels in 2011. After that, the remainder of the season playing for the Wentworthville Magpies in the New South Wales Cup. In the final stages of the season Paulo changed his international affiliation with his home country of the United States. Paulo played as a five-eighth and as a lock in Tomahawks. Tomahawks during their 2013 World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Jamaica, with 10 goals scored during the wins.
On 16 June 2012, Paulo re-signed with the Eels, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2014 NRL season. Paulo finished the season having played a full season of first grade, appearing in 23 matches for the Eels in the 2012 NRL season as the club finished last for the first time since 1972.
Paulo captained the United States national rugby league team in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, playing at five-eighth, scoring 2 tries and kicking 6 goals in their campaign, in which they reached the quarter finals.
Paulo ended his 2010 NRL season playing in seven games for Penrith. Paulo was once more a part of Samoa as a five-eighth and scoring a goal during Samoa’s 6-50 defeat to New Zealand at Mt Smart Stadium.

Paulo completed the season playing in 14 matches , and scoring two scores. Paulo was selected as part of the Samoan team to play in the Pacific Cup. Paulo was a lock player in the 20-22 loss of Samoa to the Cook Islands at Barlow Park.
Paulo only played in one match for Penrith in 2011, in round 15 against the Newcastle Knights. He instead played for the Windsor Wolves in the New South Wales Cup until he made a mid-year transfer to the Parramatta Eels.

Paulo made 10 appearances for Cronulla in the 2017 NRL season but spent the majority of his playing time with Cronulla’s feeder club, the Newtown Jets, in the New South Wales Cup. In 2018, Paulo made 21 appearances for Cronulla as the club reached the preliminary final but fell short of a grand final appearance losing to Melbourne 22-6.
