Willis Pele “The Hitman” Meehan (born 11 September 1995) is an Australian professional boxer. He was previously a professional player in rugby league with The Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League. He played as a second rower as well as prop and the lock. He was compared to his good friend, and another league boxer and his former teammate Sonny Bill Williams.
On the 15th of November, 2015. Meehan was defeated by Leamy Tato but the major incident saw Meehan’s father be lost to Joseph Parker.
As a 17-year-old, Meehan won the Australian super-heavyweight boxing title and hoped to fight at the Commonwealth Games, narrowly missing out. In 2016, he hopes to fight at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Meehan is the son of professional fighter Kali Meehan. He made the switch to Islam in the year 2015.

Between 2013 and 2014 Meehan was part of his club, the Sydney Roosters’ NYC team. He also was a player in his team, the Australian Schoolboys. The 14th round of 2014’s NRL season Meehan played the NRL debut as a member of the Roosters against the Newcastle Knights. On the 2nd of September, 2014, he received the honor of being named as lock for the 2014 NYC Team of the Year. In the year 2015, Meehan was stood down by the Roosters after being accused of theft in a group and assault that caused bodily injury. Meehan was dismissed at the end of July.
In April of 2015, Meehan was arrested for hitting a man in the head and taking his watch close to The Star, Sydney. However, he wasn’t found guilty after the robbery company charges was cleared. Meehan was later able to reveal that he’d been employed, while performing for the Roosters as a stand-in man to settle the debts of tough criminals.
On 31 January 2015, Meehan fought on the undercard of the Sonny Bill Williams v Chauncy Welliver bout.
