David Fee is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on December 15, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. David Walter Fee (born December 15th 1976) is an American former union rugby player who was a member of his United States national teams (7’s and 15’s) in which he mostly was a wing. Fee received 28 caps for the team of 15’s US national team between 2002 and 2005 and played in all four games of the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Fee was also a part of the team for the 7’s at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong.
Fee was the first international player to debut the month of January 2002 at the World Sevens Series tournament in Santiago, Chile. In the pool match against Brasil He established the American record by scoring five attempts in a single game. He also was the top scorer in the tournament and scored a total of 13. The US defeated Canada at the Bowl finals, 32-5. Fee’s initial success in the 7’s circuit attracted notice from the 15’s team.
Fee was elected to the Lake Forest College Athletic Hall of Fame for rugby and football in 2013.
Fee was awarded his 15th cap in the 29th of June 2002 (Eagle #319) in the World Cup qualifying match against Canada. Fee had scored the first as well as second tries at 15’s in only his third match of the season on the 10th of August 2002, in the 35-22 Eagles victory over Chile. In the years of his playing career, Fee scored 28 caps for the Eagles with nine tries, which placed him at the second spot in the USA score list for career tries (as in 2005).
