Taylor William Fedun (born June 4 1988) is an Canadian defenseman of ice hockey who currently plays for the Dallas Stars organization of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Fedun recorded his very first NHL goal on the 5th of November 2013, against Florida Panthers’ goaltender Jacob Markstrom. He played in three matches for the Oilers in the 2013 season, scoring a second goal. Most importantly, Fedun played for the Barons.

On July 1, 2015, Fedun signed a one-year, two-way contract as a free agent with the Vancouver Canucks. He skated in one game for the Canucks, as well as 63 for the Utica Comets.

On July 1, 2016, Fedun left the Canucks organization and signed a one-year, two-way contract as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres. He split the 2016–17 season between the Sabres and their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans.

In the year 2011-12 in which the Oilers roster was 32 players, and nine more required to be cut before the final roster of the team was drafted, Fedun was tripped by Minnesota Wild’s forward Eric Nystrom, and fractured his femur in the preseason game, while trying to recover the puck and make an ice- smoothing. Fedun was struck by a fracture that was complex in his right femur. He was out for the entire season of 2011-12 when a rod was inserted into his leg. The second occasion that the NHL’s policy of icing resulted in fractured femurs during the post-lockout period, with the first injury happening to the former Wild defensive player Kurtis Foster in 2007. The rule on icing was modified for the 2013-14 season in order to lower the chance of potentially dangerous collisions.

Fedun amazed the Oilers during in the Young Stars Tournament in Penticton, British Columbia, and was awe-inspiring throughout the Oilers in their preseason games. Fedun was on the roster following the fact that other promising young players like Tyler Pitlick and Curtis Hamilton were placed in the club’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate named The Oklahoma City Barons.

With the Oilers not tendering Fedun a qualifying offer, he was released to free agency and on July 1, 2014, signed a one-year contract with the San Jose Sharks. In his lone season with the organization, Fedun recorded four assists in seven games for the Sharks. He also appeared in 65 games for the team’s AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks.
