Vilimoni Delasau is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on July 12, 1977 in Ba, Fiji. Vilimoni Waqatabu Delasau (born 12 July 1977 in Sorokaba, Ba) is a Fijian former union footballer of the rugby league. He was an flanker. His nickname was Delz.

In April 2010 , he joined Toulouse as a medical joker , as they sustained many injuries. Montauban was sacked of points due to financial irregularities and is expected to be dropped at the end of the season of 2009/2010. Montauban scored his first try against Castres in his first match with his new club.

He later moved on to Japan and played for two years prior to going into France to play for Mont-de-Marsan rugby club , where He played five matches for them, scoring three attempts. Then he returned to Fiji and was picked as a representative of the Canterbury at the NPC. He then was a member of in the Crusaders at the Super 12 competition and in the latter half of 2005, he was a member of his team the Highlanders during the Super 14 competition. Following a brief stint in the Highlanders, he retreated into France in order to be a part of ASM Clermont Auvergne where he was a part of their Top 14 and in the ECC competition. He scored several impressive tries for the club, and also a 90-metre sprint to beat London Wasps in the 2007-08 Heineken Cup which was awarded the most successful try that season. He signed with his new club US Montauban after his contract with Clermont ended and he decided not to renew it.

He was born within his home in the Town of Ba and he was a player with Lautoka during the National Provincial Rugby Tournament in Fiji. He was selected for the team representing Fiji at the Rugby Sevens. He scored 85 goals for Fiji in the Fiji sevens. In 1999, Delasau won the title of player of the year at the Fiji Rugby Awards after scoring scores of 82 tries during the season. He won his first cap in a Test in the match against US Eagles in June 2000 after excelling in the sevens format of the in the previous year. He also holds the record of scoring the most attempts in a 7s match with six tries. He also holds also holds the record for most attempts in an international tournament, with 16 attempts which is more than the fellow Fijian player, Rupeni Caucau who scored 14 scores.

He was a part of Fiji at the 2007 and 2003 Rugby World Cup and some claimed he was the top right-winger of the tournament. At the 2007 World Cup he scored one of the scores in the match as Fiji defeated Wales to make it to their first quarter-final in over 20 years. the same year he scored a score in the quarter-final loss against South Africa. He was also a part of the Fiji sevens during the 2005, 2001 as well as the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens.

In February 2012, he retired from International rugby.
