Stefan Watermeyer (born 3 June 1988) is a former South African rugby union player who was a regular center. In his first-class career from 2007 to 2016 the player participated in Super Rugby for the Bulls, Lions and Southern Kings and also played and played in the national side of South African rugby with the Blue Bulls, Griquas and Pumas and also had a brief time in the Welsh team Ospreys. He also played for South Africa at schoolboy, Under-19 and U-20 levels. He was also a member of the South Africa President’s XV at the 2013 IRB Tbilisi Cup.
Watermeyer was a part of the Pumas team that took home the Vodacom Cup for the first time in 2015, defeating Western Province 24-7 in the final. Watermeyer played nine times in the league and scored one try.
He announced his retirement from rugby at the conclusion of the 2016 Super Rugby season with the Southern Kings.
He was part of the Lions squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season and made his debut in a victory of 21-20 against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.
