In 2016, at the initiative of Roman Matys and with the support of the People’s Deputies, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on European Integration held committee hearings on “Ukrainian language in the context of European integration: challenges and answers”, which became the first step towards the creation and registration of the new “Law on State language”.
