He made his Serie A and Euroleague debuts in 2007-2008 after working his way up through Virtus Bologna’s youth ranks. However, he started playing consistent minutes only from 2009-10. He struggled to get into a good team and was loaned to Angelico Biella, a fellow Serie A side, for the second half of the 2010-11 season. Sant’Antimo, a Legadue side, the next season.
He began in the under-age categories of the Italian national basketball teams, winning the silver medal at 2011 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. After that, he joined the senior team in 2011, and continued to play on a regular basis starting in 2013.
