Angus Beith (born 22 February 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who played in the past. Beith was a midfielder with Heart of Midlothian, Stirling Albion, Stenhousemuir, Stranraer and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Because of an injury to the hip, Beith was forced to retire at the age of 23.
On the 25th of March, 2016 Beith was signed by Scottish League One club Stenhousemuir on a temporary loan of 28 days and played five complete games during the month in Ochilview Park. Beith was back in Stirling on the 28th of October for a month’s loan that was extended until January 2017 and played 10 games in total which all began. The club sent him off on the 24th of December at the conclusion of a 2-2 draw in Montrose for a foul and abusive language.
After returning to Hearts, Beith made his Scottish Premiership debut on 29 January 2017 in a 4–0 loss at league leaders Celtic, replacing Perry Kitchen for the last nine minutes.
In April 2018, Beith agreed to sign a three-year contract with Scottish Championship club Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The deal was completed in May 2018, with Beith moving in exchange for Jake Mulraney.
On the 27th of November, 2014 the player was loaned by Scottish League One team Stirling Albion as an emergency loan until the first week of January. On the following day the following day, he made his debut with them, taking part in all of their home defeat 0-2 at Raith Rovers in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. On the 6th of December the following day, he took part in his debut game for the Scottish Professional Football League, losing 3-3 against Peterhead on Peterhead’s Forthbank Stadium. The first goal scored by a senior player of his career occurred on December 27, the third goal scored by Stirling as they were 3-1 ahead only to defeat 3-4 at home to Greenock Morton. Beith’s loan was extended upon request of Hearts Manager Robbie Neilson, until the end this season. A charity match for his benefit was agreed upon by Hearts as well as Inverness. The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Beith being presented with an honour guard prior to the kick-off. Beith later completed a degree program at The Open University and did youth coaching at Hearts.
Beith began his journey with Heart of Midlothian aged 9. He first made it into a matchday squad on the 31st of August 2013. He was uninvolved in their 2-0 loss at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premiership. He was on the bench of substitutes for the remainder of the season, but was not on the field in the final stages of the season, which culminated in being dropped from the top division. Beith was loaned to Stranraer in November 2017. He won the League One player of the month award for January 2018, having scored goals in wins against Raith Rovers, Albion Rovers and Airdrie.
