Reuben O'Neill is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on February 17, 1995 in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand. Reuben Graeme O’Neill, the son Jarrod O’Neill (and Delwyn McCurdy) was born in New Plymouth on 17 February 1995. O’Neill suffered multiple injuries over the course of his career. O’Neill had a left-foot bone cyst removed in 2011. He was later diagnosed with diabetes and is now on insulin injections every day. Both injuries were overcome by him, he played strong for the New Plymouth Boys’ School first XV team and was a Taranaki under-18 player.
O’Neill was among 22 forwards who were called up to the 2017 Chiefs 41 man development squad for their second consecutive trip to Hong Kong. O’Neill also made two appearances in March against the Blues development squad. The first was at FMG Stadium Waikato as a curtain raiser, and the second at Pakuranga Rugby Football Club Auckland two weeks later. O’Neill, who sustained injuries from fellow prop Mike Kainga, returned to Taranaki for his third Mitre 10 Cup Season. He was part of Taranaki’s historic Ranfurly Shield win over Canterbury and their remarkable top of the table finish.
O’Neill gained selection honours with the Canterbury-based side the Crusaders, on 31 January during their pre-season opener against the Hurricanes ahead of the 2018 Super Rugby season. He then had his selection honours with the Crusaders extended as a short-term injury cover replacement. O’Neill became a regular starter in the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup despite featuring in a disappointing Taranaki campaign that finished in last place. He returned to play in the seasons first two Ranfurly Shield defenses against Poverty Bay and Wanganui. At seasons-end he was awarded forward of the year for the union.

O’Neill was unable to travel due to injury in early 2016. O’Neill did not make the Chiefs’ development squad for their April tour of Hong Kong. After his performance at premier club level, O’Neill was named by Colin Cooper during the preseason side announcement. O’Neill was a good player for Taranaki. He scored his first try of the season in the 2016 Mitre10 Cup competition against Manawatu. O’Neill was also in the home semi-final against Tasman, their second in three years.

Reuben Graeme O’Neill, a New Zealand rugby union footballer, is a prop for the New Zealand province Taranaki as well as the New Zealand national soccer team. He was selected for the 2012 international three-match programme for New Zealand Schoolboys. In his youth, he also participated in New Plymouth Boys High School’s first XV, which is the most representative secondary school team.
O’Neill, who suffered a back injury, was one of the four new players Taranaki recruited to help them defend their national ITM Cup title in 2015. After missing the opportunity to replace Wellington, O’Neill made his debut in the province and was selected for the match-day reserve team to face Auckland. O’Neill participated in the Taranaki under-19 team that competed at the Jock Hobbs Memorial tournament later that same year. O’Neill broke his Achilles tendon a week later in a match against Waikato in Te Awamutu.
Following his 2018 provincial campaign, O’Neill was called up into the wider All Blacks squad to prepare for the Japanese leg of the 2018 end of year tour without making a Super Rugby debut.
