Gordon Moodie (born 15 February 1981) is a BriSCA Formula 2 Stock Cars racing driver from Windygates, Fife, Scotland and races under the number 7. Gordon Moodie is the most prolific major title holder during the history of 60 years in the history of sport. To date he has won 68 Championships including 3 World Finals and the National Points Championship/National Series 13 times. He also holds the record for having won 465 feature-final victories.

The first time Moodie won a championship was in 2003 at the Scottish Championship at Cowdenbeath, an event he views as the most important moment of his career. In the same year, Moodie won his first National Points Championship. This marked the beginning of five consecutive National Points Championships, and Moodie was also awarded five titles consecutively between 2010 between 2010 and the year 2014. He won his National Points title in 2016 and in 2017 however, his silver-colored roof won through the shootout format that was introduced in The National Series which he clinched at Belle Vue, Manchester.

Moodie started his racing career in Formula 2 stock cars at the age of 17 in

1998. with one of his dad’s vehicles and racing under the number 79. Following his victory at the World Championship in 2006, Moodie chose to race with number 7 in honor of his father, who had the same number in his life. Since the time, Moodie has retained number 7.

Moodie was the first to finish in the race of 2008 in World Championship, but was then disqualified and barred from the race after scrutineering discovered a flaw in the carburettor. Moodie declared his innocence, and subsequent investigations revealed the problem was caused by a production error in the batch of carburetors that Moodie’s was among them. The issue was that Moodie continued to be suspended, and the absence of racing resulted in that he was not able to be able to win the National Points Championship in both the years 2008 and 2009. A four-month suspension imposed towards the close of 2014 resulted in Moodie not race for the start of the second half year of 2015. This was putting him out of competition to compete in his participation in the National Points Championship in 2015.
