Colton “C.J.” Greaves, born June 1, 1995 in Abrams (Wisconsin), is an American professional off-road racing driver. He won the 2010 Super Buggy Championship by racing in the TORC: The Off Road Championship Super Buggy, and Pro Light divisions. He races in the Pro Stock UTV and Pro 4 divisions, where he competes against his father Johnny Greaves, seven-time Pro 4 champ. Greaves won the 2013 AMSOIL Cup World Championship Race in his Pro 2 truck. He won the 2014 Pro 2 championship, and made his Pro 4 debut that season. Greaves won the Pro 4WD and Pro 2WD class championships, respectively, in 2015 and 2016. He also won the Pro 4 Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Greaves also won the Pro Stock UTV Championships 2017 and 2019. Johnny Greaves’ son and teammate is Greaves.

Greaves started the 2013 season with the fastest time and won the Pro Lite race at Saturday Dodge City Raceway Park. He did not qualify for Pro 2 and raced from the back to finish third in the Saturday Pro 2 race. Greaves was third in the 2013 Pro 2 points, with five of his fastest laps. He had eight fastest laps in Pro Light to place second in the championship. Greaves started the 2013 AMSOIL Cup race in Crandon with the Pro 2 trucks, ahead of the Pro 4 trucks. For the final four laps Greaves fought his father Johnny (in his Pro 4 Truck) well ahead of Chad Hord, third. C.J. was able to finish the race alongside his father and son Greaves. Johnny won the race.

Greaves’ short career has seen him become one of the most successful drivers on short courses off-road history. He has won 33 victories and 5 championships at the Pro 4 class, 29 wins, 3 championships at the Pro 2 class and 11 wins in Pro Lights. He also won 12 wins in Pro Buggy and 2 championships. Greaves also won 25 wins and 2 championships at Pro Stock UTV and one win in Pro Mod UTV. Greaves also won three Red Bull World Cup races in Crandon International Off Road Raceway. Greaves started racing on short-course buggies off-road. He won the Super Buggy class championship in 2010. He raced Super Buggy for a while and then started Pro Light in 2011. Greaves was second in Antigo’s Saturday buggy racing and won the Sunday race, his first win of the year. He finished sixth in Pro Light points. Greaves won two Oshkosh wins in the Super Buggy season to win his second consecutive Super Buggy title.

Greaves raced Pro Light in 2012, and then he started racing a Pro 2 trophy car full-time. Greaves started in pole position at the Charlotte Motor Speedway dirt track’s Pro Light race. He finished third. He was eager to learn the truck and race in his second Pro 2 race. Greaves won the race, becoming the youngest Pro 2 winner ever. He finished third in the holeshot, and he held that position until the competition caution. After the restart, he passed Jeff Kincaid and won the title after Bryce Menzies spun. Johnny Greaves said after the win, “I was very proud of CJ and thrilled to see him win.” We were unsure how he would react to the truck, as it was his second time riding in the seat. Greaves finished third in the Charlotte race next day, following up his win.

In 2014, he began the season racing in Pro Lite and Pro 2. In Pro Lite, he won the World Championship race at the Crandon Labor Day race weekend and finished third in season points. In the higher ranking Pro 2 class, he won the season championship over Chad Hord, Jeff Kincaid, Steve Barlow, and Jarit Johnson. He also made his first start in the highest ranking Pro 4 class and finished ninth in the season points. That class was topped by his third-place finish at the final race at Crandon. The following year, he competed at X Games Austin 2015, driving in the Stadium Super Trucks category. After finishing third in his heat race, he went on to win the Last Chance Qualifier to advance to the final; he finished fourth.
