He was a partner with Meng Qianghua at his 1992 Atlanta Olympics in which they were defeated in the opening round of the men’s doubles tournament by Suisse’s Jakob Hlasek and Marc Rosset.
He also made the men’s doubles draw at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. With partner Pan Bing, the Chinese pairing won the first set of their opening round match against India’s Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes, before losing in three sets.
In the 1990s, he played in the principal draws in ATP Tour level tournaments in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. He finished second at an event in 1996. Challenger tournament in Beijing.
