Gindl was promoted by the Brewers to the major leagues in June 15 as Ryan Braun’s replacement. On June 22, he recorded his first major-league hit, a pinch hit single from Tim Hudson of Braves. Logan Schafer and Gindl were also used in the left field and on the bench during his first stint. Gindl was optioned on June 29 to make way for Tyler Thornburg. In his first stint, he was able to hit 5-20 and 1 RBI. Gindl was called up on July 11th to replace Johnny Hellweg, the previous day’s starting pitcher. Gindl’s first home run in his career came on July 21st. It was a walk-off hit in the bottom 13th to secure a 1-0 win over the Miami Marlins. He was the first Brewer to ever record a walk-off home run, and their first home run. Although he was primarily used off the bench again, he was also used at left field along with Schafer, Khris Davis and occasionally in right field to replace Norichika Aoki. He hit.242 in 57 games for Milwaukee with 5 HR, 14 RBI and 17 runs.

On March 22, 2016, Gindl signed with the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
