William Edward “Will” Fraser (born 29 October 1989) is a former English flanker of the rugby union that played with Premiership team Saracens. He previously played in dual registration in the Bedford Blues. Bedford Blues and at international level has played for England Saxons.

Fraser confirmed his spot in the team in the 2012-13 season and, by the end of January, he had amassed more playing time than any other player, barring Captain Steve Borthwick. In the same month , he was among the 10 players who extended their contract with Saracens. He was a part of 19 Premiership games and played in every single one of Saracens Heineken Cup matches before pulling a tendon off of the bone of his shoulder during a match against Gloucester Rugby in April 2013. The injury kept him out from Saracens’ Premiership and Heineken Cup semi-final losses and also the possibility of being a part of the England tour to Argentina.

He returned to the side in October 2013, six weeks earlier than expected, in a 19–12 win over London Wasps. In December, only six games into his comeback, he suffered another serious injury after being stretchered off against Sale Sharks with a suspected broken foot and damaged knee ligaments.

On 24 August 2017 Fraser was forced to retire from rugby owing to a neck injury.

He was registered dually with Bedford throughout the 2012-13 and 2011-12 seasons, but did not appear due to commitments to Saracens who made his debut in September of 2011 as a substitute against Bath Rugby. He also made fifteen appearances throughout the campaign, including his 22,3 Heineken Cup quarter final defeat to Clermont Auvergne. Being dominated by the French team during the match, Fraser was among a several Saracens players who worked on his body’s shape and added around 10kg to his body in the next 12 months.

The family was raised to a family of Watford, Fraser was educated at Berkhamsted School and Dulwich College and was a member of Saracens when he was in the year 2005. In 2009, he stayed for six months at the Western Province Academy in South Africa and then the following year was signed to dual registration for Bedford Blues. The player made the Bedford debut substitute in the match against Doncaster Knights in September 2010 after which he made five appearances in the following two months. After a six-month absence, it was his last game as a Bedford player at the Championship play-off semi-final loss against Worcester Warriors in May 2011.

Fraser first made an appearance for England in 2006, when Fraser played three games in the under-16s squad, including an encounter against the Italy Under-17 team, in where he scored an goal. Fraser was not eligible for further aged grade participation however he was picked to take part in his first England Counties tour to Canada in the year 2010. He was in the starting line- up for the opening game with The Rock and scored a score, but he sustained a knee injury during the final seconds of the game. In January 2013 Fraser was named in the England Saxons squad for the first time and made his debut two weeks later in the 14–10 win over the Ireland Wolfhounds, scoring a try. A week later he also started in the defeat to Scotland A and his performances saw him called into the senior England squad as injury cover for the Six Nations games against Ireland and France, though ultimately he was not included in the 23 for either match. He was tipped to travel with the England senior squad for the tour of Argentina before being ruled out through an injury sustained with Saracens.
