Wilschut made three further appearances as a replacement during the remainder of the competition, to help his team finish in seventh place on the log.
Wilschut was then back to his home town of Worcester in the state of Worcester, where he played in the amateur club of Villagers Worcester, also captaining the team. Wilschut was born in Worcester in the Western Cape. He was chosen to represent Boland in the most prestigious high school competition that took place in South Africa, the Under-18 Craven Week, held in Nelspruit in Nelspruit, where he began every single one of his team’s games wearing the number 8 jersey. In 2005 the Boland U19 team was formed. of the Boland U19 team that took part in the 2005 Provincial Under-19 Championship.

He also started all six of their matches in the 2015 Currie Cup qualification series, in which Boland finished fourth to progress to the Currie Cup First Division for the rest of the season.
