Viktor Nikolayevich Kozlov (Russian: Viktor Nikolaevich Kozlov ; born 14 February 1975) is a Russian former professional hockey player and coach. He is the current assistant coach for the Kontinental Hockey League’s Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

On July 1, 2007 Kozlov signed a contract for two years for two years with the Washington Capitals. On April 15, 2009, following 15 NHL seasons, Kozlov recorded his debut goal in the playoffs while playing for the Capitals.

Kozlov opted to sign as a free agent on a two-year contract with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl from the 2012–13 season. In scoring just 1 goal in 21 games, Kozlov was traded to fellow KHL club, HC CSKA Moscow on January 9, 2013. Plagued by injury throughout his tenure with CSKA, Kozlov missed the entire 2013–14 campaign.

On June 19, 2014, Kozlov signalled a return to health in signing a one-year contract to provide a veteran presence with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.

Kozlov was released to the New York Islanders in 2006. The 3rd day of December 2006, he scored his second hat trick of his career and also his first ever four-goal game. Despite a hat-trick from Brendan Shanahan, the Islanders beat the rival New York Rangers 7-4 at Madison Square Garden. Four goals for Shanahan gave Shanahan a total of six goals in the span of 24 hours -He had scored twice earlier in the game during the game in Pittsburgh in the match against Penguins.

Kozlov was chosen to Kozlov by San Jose Sharks in the first round, as the sixth overall pick at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Kozlov had his very first NHL score with his Sharks in a game against Ed Belfour and the Chicago Blackhawks on March 21, 1995, in 7-3 Sharks defeat. Kozlov would play a few years playing in San Jose before being traded to the Florida Panthers on 13 November 1997. On 9 June 2009, Salavat Yulaev Ufa signed Kozlov to a three-year contract, signifying the end of his successful NHL career. In each season with Salavat, Kozlov helped the club qualify for the post-season and was part of the leadership group, Captaining for one year.
