Tomoka Nakagawa (Zhong Chuan tomoka , Nakagawa Tomoka, born September 29 1981) is a Japanese retired professional wrestler. After receiving training from Taka Michinoku in the early days, she began her professional career with the Kaientai Dojo promotion in September 2004. After quitting Kaientai Dojo in 2007, Nakagawa briefly was a part of Ibuki and underwent additional training under Mariko Yoshida. She then became an independent contractor and began working as a part of her own Japanese independent circuit, working on promotions like Oz Academy and Pro Wrestling Wave. She also began to appear regularly for the American promotions Shimmer Women Athletes. Nakagawa was a well-known tag team wrestler. She became a FMW/WEW Hartcore Tag Team Champion the three times Oz Academy Tag Team Champion Two-time Shimmer Tag Team Champions and triple Wave Tag Team Champion. For her solo wrestling she was the holder of her own Smash Diva Championship. After a decade of professional wrestling, Nakagawa announced her retirement from professional wrestling in June of 2014. Following an official Japanese retirement ceremony on December 14, 2014 Nakagawa took part in her last match of professional wrestling at America on April 12, 2015. On April 10 2010 Nakagawa performed her American debut on her role in the Shimmer Women Athletes promotion in an unsuccessful match against Ayumi Kurihara in Volume 29. The following day, on Volume 30 Nakagawa was joined by Daizee Haze to take on the team consisting of Jamilia Craft as well as Misaki Ohata. In the next day’s recording of the Volumes 31 and 33 Nakagawa lost to Mercedes Martinez and picked up victory in the battle against Jessie McKay, respectively. Nakagawa came back to Shimmer just five months later, on September 11, after she was defeated by Ayako Hamada as well as Cheerleader Melissa at the tapings for volumes 33 and 34. The next day, in Volume 35 Nakagawa as well as Daizee Haze continued to extend their tag-team winning streak by beating Pretty Bitchin’ (Ariel and Nikki Roxx). Nakagawa and Haze were the first to make their championship defense in April during the Ring of Honour’s Honor Takes Center Stage pay-per-view beating Ayumi Kurihara as well as Hiroyo Matsumoto. On the 1st of October at Shimmer’s Volume 41, Nakagawa and Haze were beaten out of to win the Shimmer Tag Team Championship to Ayako Hamada and Ayumi Kurihara in their second battle. On the same day, Volume 42, Nakagawa picked up her most significant singles win in Shimmer by knocking out her former Shimmer champion MsChif in a 4-way tie with Kellie Skater, and LuFisto. The next day, at Volume 43 Nakagawa lost to MsChif at a singles bout. Nakagawa was prevented from attending The Shimmer March 2012 tapes due having commitments prior to that with Pro Wrestling Wave.
In March 2008, Nakagawa, Atsuko Emoto and Kyoko Kimura formed the villainous Revolucion Amandla stable in NEO Japan Ladies Pro Wrestling. The stable feuded with NEO’s top wrestlers, most notably Ayumi Kurihara, Etsuko Mita and Yoshiko Tamura, with Nakagawa and Kimura unsuccessfully challenging Kurihara and Tamura for the NEO Tag Team Championship. In October 2009, Nakagawa made her first tour of Mexico with International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) as a member of Revolucion Amandla. She returned to the promotion on June 3, 2010, defeating A☆YU☆MI. This built to a match two days later at an event held by the Alianza Universal de Lucha Libre (AULL) promotion, where Nakagawa unsuccessfully challenged A☆YU☆MI for her X–LAW Women’s Championship.
On May 8, 2011, Nakagawa made her debut for the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion, defeating Eri Susa. Nakagawa made two more appearances for the promotion during the rest of the year, defeating Saki Kashima on September 10 and teaming with Kashima in a tag team match, where they were defeated by Arisa Hoshiki and Mayu Iwatani on November 12. Nakagawa returned to Stardom on March 11, 2012, when she defeated Iwatani in a singles match. On January 14, 2013, Nakagawa led “Team Shimmer”, which also included Kellie Skater and Portia Perez, to the finals of the Artist of Stardom Championship tournament, where they were, however, defeated by Kawasaki Katsushika Saikyou Densetsu Plus One (Act Yasukawa, Natsuki☆Taiyo and Saki Kashima).
Nakagawa was the first to make her appearance with the all-female promotions Oz Academy on March 9 2008, during an unofficial tag team game which she as well as Manami Toyota lost to Akino as well as Ran Yu-Yu. Soon after, Nakagawa was a part of Mayumi Ozaki’s Ozaki-gun, a villain, before transferring into Aja Kong’s Jungle Jack 21 stable on August 2nd in 2009. In September of the following year the team was split in two when Matsumoto made the switch to Ozaki-gun, and began a storyline rivalry along with former teammates. As of December 12, Matsumoto was back in Jungle Jack 21 and reformed her tag group with Nakagawa. On March 10 2013, Nakagawa together with Matsumoto took on Mayumi Ozaki, and Yumi Ohka to take home the Oz Academy Tag Team Championship for the second time. They fell short of the title to Aja Kong as well as Hikaru Shida in their debut contest on April 24. Nakagawa and Matsumoto won the title back over Kong as well as Shida on the 11th of August. After having held the title for more than one period of a year Nakagawa along with Matsumoto removed the title from their hands on August 31st, 2014 following Matsumoto was sidelined by an injury to her knee.

Nakagawa was a professional wrestler when she made her debut with Taka Michinoku’s Kaientai Dojo promotion on September 19th, 2004, in which she, wrestling in the name of Tomotsu-chan teaming up with Ofune to take on Besu as well as Bochi in tag team matches. Through the remainder of 2004 she participated in two eight-person tag team matches. She wrestled in the first match as Tomotsu-chan, and the second one as Apple Tomotsu, the name being a reference to an of her tag-team teammates, Apple Miyuki. On the 23rd of January in the year 2005 Nakagawa was the first person to make an appearance in public under her real name, and wrestled in a tag-team match in which she along with Yuu Yamagata lost to Michinoku as well as Ryota Chikuzen. The date was deemed her official debut not just the promotion she is a part of but also the name of Nakagawa herself. In the following year Nakagawa changed her ring name to Tomo Michinoku and aligned herself with Taka and Taka, who she was able to claim her first title the 4th of June, 2006 when they beat Makoto Oishi, and Shiori Asahi in the FMW/WEW Hardcore Tag team Championship. The 30th of April, 2012 Nakagawa along with Gami defeated Hanako Nakamori as well as Misaki Ohata from the infamous Black Dahlia stable to become “interim” Wave Tag Team Champions. After the departure of Toshie Uematsu who was one half of the champions before them, Nakagawa and Gami defeated Ayumi Kurihara and Kana on the 17th of June to be their official Wave Tag Team Champions. Nakagawa along with Gami were beaten by Misaki Ohata as well as Tsukasa Fujimoto on the 27th of November in their third attempt to defend. On March 14, Nakagawa took part in Smash’s final event, before the promotion ceased its operations, teaming with Josh O’Brien and Yoshiaki Yago in a six-person tag team match, where they defeated Hisamaru Tajima, Jiro Kuroshio and Makoto.

On June 4, 2014, after unsuccessfully challenging Akino for the Oz Academy Openweight Championship, Nakagawa announced she would be retiring from professional wrestling on December 4. Following the announcement, Nakagawa reformed Revolucion Amandla with Kyoko Kimura. On October 15, the two defeated Sakuragohan (Kyusei Sakura Hirota and Mika Iida) in the finals to win the 2014 Dual Shock Wave tournament and become the new Wave Tag Team Champions. They lost the title to Las Aventureras (Ayako Hamada and Yuu Yamagata) in their first defense on October 29. On November 2, Nakagawa received one final shot at the Oz Academy Openweight Championship, but was defeated by the defending champion, Tsubasa Kuragaki. On December 4, Oz Academy produced Nakagawa’s Japanese retirement event, which saw Nakagawa, Aja Kong and Akino, the reunited Jungle Jack 21 (accompanied by the retired Ran Yu-Yu and the injured Hiroyo Matsumoto), defeat Dynamite Kansai, Kyoko Kimura and Mayumi Ozaki in the main event. Nakagawa was set to wrestle another retirement match abroad.
