Tom Jervis is one of the most popular and richest Australian basketball player who was born on February 4, 1987 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, Australia. Thomas Lachlan Jervis (born 4 February 1987) is an Australian former professional basketball player who played for six seasons with the National Basketball League (NBL). He played basketball in college at Bevill State Community College and Troy University in the United States before winning two NBL championships with the Perth Wildcats between 2013 and 2016. After two seasons playing for Brisbane Bullets Brisbane Bullets, Jervis returned to the Wildcats in the year 2018. In his second season with the Wildcats He won three championships. Jervis is also famous for his time playing in the State Basketball League (SBL) with the East Perth Eagles, having been a regular player for them from 2009 to 2016. and helping the team win their debut championship in 2014.
In June 2011 Jervis had become an established name in the SBL and was a frequent participant during Perth Wildcats training sessions. This led to him being was invited for the Australian Boomers team for the training camp they were holding in preparation for their double-header match against China at the 2011 YouYi Games. The team did not ultimately make the final roster however, Jervis had hoped that his experience could help him get the 10th and final spot on the Wildcats roster in the 2011-12 campaign. The players who joined Jervis on the list of players to be considered were Everard Bartlett Greg Hire and Ben Purser. After losing the spot to his childhood friend Hire, Jervis was overlooked to be a part of the roster from his team the Cairns Taipans after going on tour with the Taipans in China.
On 21 May 2014, Jervis was added to the Australian Boomers squad for the team’s training camp leading into the 2014 Sino-Australia Challenge against Team China. A week later, he was named in the team’s final 12-man squad and went on to make his international debut on 29 May 2014 at Challenge Stadium.
On 31 December 2014, Jervis had a season-best performance in his 50th NBL game, recording his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds in an 86–77 win over the Wollongong Hawks. On 9 January 2015, he scored a season-high 17 points in a 91–76 loss to the Cairns Taipans. On 23 January, he recorded his second career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 93–85 overtime win over the Townsville Crocodiles. The Wildcats finished the 2014–15 season in fourth place with a 16–12 record, and lost 2–0 to the Taipans in the semi-finals. Jervis appeared in all 30 games, averaging 7.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.
Jervis was a player with the Eagles between 2009 and 2013, and was awarded SBL All-Star Five honours every year between 2011 and 2013.

Jervis is a native of the region of Western Australian city of Kalgoorlie. Following his move from the Goldfields to Perth after escaping the Goldfields as a youngster, Jervis made his way to the top of the ladder as a junior in the East Perth Basketball Association. He was a student at Morley Senior High School, played for Western Australia in Under 18s as well as the Under 20s. He began his career as a player in the State Basketball League (SBL) with the East Perth Eagles in 2005.
Between 2005 between 2005 and 2007 Jervis played basketball at Bevill State Community College. On the 24th of January, 2007 he made a commitment to join Troy University, joining the Trojans through JUCO transfer market. JUCO Transfer Market. As an undergraduate playing at Troy in 2007-08 Jervis scored 5.0 points as well as 4.1 rebounding during 29 matches (eight games played). In 2008-09, as a senior Jervis averaged 6.7 points as well as 6.5 rebounding during 32 contests (30 games played).
In June 2013, Jervis started a new career selling radiators to mine sites. Just two months later, on 12 August 2013, he put that career on hold after he signed a one-year contract with the Perth Wildcats. Despite the strength in depth of the Wildcats roster, Jervis forced his way into the rotation, beginning the 2013–14 season as the starting centre with Matt Knight out injured. On 24 January 2014, he scored a season-best 21 points in an 83–80 loss to the Melbourne Tigers. Jervis helped the Wildcats go 21–7 in the regular season before going on to reach the 2014 NBL Grand Final series, where they won the championship with a 2–1 defeat over the Adelaide 36ers. He subsequently earned NBL Rookie of the Year honours. Jervis appeared in all 33 games, averaging 5.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game.

On 18 April 2016, Jervis turned his back on Perth to join the Brisbane Bullets on a three-year deal. He had the option to stay in his home state, but chose to head east in the search for more court time and to renew his association with Australian Boomers and Bullets coach Andrej Lemanis. The following month, he re-joined the East Perth Eagles.
