Tevita “Tex” Cavubati (born 12 August 1987) is a Fijian and a Rugby Union player currently playing as an unlocked player in the Premiership for Harlequins within the Premiership as well as for Fiji.

On May 2, 2017 Cavubati joined Premiership Rivalries Newcastle Falcons from the 2017-18 Premiership campaign.

After sustaining an injury to his right leg which kept him out of the game for five months, he returned to the field for Newcastle Falcons in an A-League game against Bath. He signed for Harlequins in July 2019, joining the club after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

After having played for Welsh area Ospreys within the Pro14 in the 16th September, 2015 Cavubati was signed by English team Worcester Warriors from the 2015-16 season.

Cavubati is a member of a strong family of players, with his brother Bill playing as prop with Wellington at the ITM Cup and playing 38 tests for Fiji. His first experience in rugby was when he played in the club Spotswood United in New Zealand between 2008 and 2010 but despite having gained valuable competition experience here, the team was not able to be a part of an appearance on the ITM Cup side of his local union, Taranaki. After a brief period back home in his homeland of Fiji the player came back in New Zealand ahead of the 2012 ITM Cup this time earning an official contract for Tasman Makos.
