Rupert Moon is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on February 1, 1968 in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. Rupert Henry St. John Barker Moon, born 1 February 1968, is an ex- Wales international rugby union player. While he played club rugby for Welsh clubs Abertillery, Neath, he is best known for his association with Llanelli. He captained Llanelli during their remarkable triple success season in 1992, when they won both the League and Cup and beat then Rugby World Cup Champions Australia. He won 24 caps for Wales as a scrum half in international rugby.

In 2007, he joined Protectagroup as the Group Marketing Director. In June 2009, he was appointed Commercial Director at the Scarlets.

In 2003, Moon was appointed Head of Group Commercial & Business Development for the Millennium Stadium and Welsh Rugby Union. The Group saw record turnovers and profits. Moon was one of three who organized the Millennium Stadium’s Tsunami Relief Concert in January 2005.

Moon was a rugby player for Neath RFC and Abertillery RFC. But, perhaps most importantly, Moon was a member of Llanelli RFC from 1990. This was his “spiritual home”. He was a scrum half. Moon was elected captain of Llanelli after playing 272 games over 12 years. He scored 77 tries.

Moon was the captain of Llanelli in 1992’s unprecedented triple success season. They won the League Cup and Cup and beat Australia to become Rugby World Cup Champions. Moon was awarded 24 caps by Wales for their national rugby team at Scrum Half. He made his debut in the 1993 Five Nations Championship. Moon retired in 2001 from international rugby.
