Roux signed a one-year contract to move to Leinster, the Irish provincial team. Roux joined the squad in 2012-13. Roux participated in nine games of the 2012-13 Pro12, with seven of them being his first. Roux was not able to play for Leinster at the 2012-13 Heineken Cup because the team was eliminated from the pool stages. Roux was present in all of Leinster’s matches after the team fell to the 2012-13 European Challenge Cup. Roux made his European debut in the quarter-final against London Wasps, and then he was also used against Biarritz. Roux played for Leinster against Stade Francais in the Challenge Cup final, which saw Leinster become champions. In March 2013, Roux signed a two- year extension of his contract with Leinster.
