Prince Constantijn Christof Frederik Amsberg (born 11 October 1969), is the youngest and third son of Beatrix of Holland and Claus von Amsberg. He is also the younger brother to Willem-Alexander, the Dutch king. He is currently fourth in line for the Dutch throne and a member the Dutch Royal House.
Prince Constantijn studied law in Leiden University and became a lawyer. He then worked as a Brussels commissioner for foreign relations of the (Dutch- based) European Union. He was later hired by the EU, and continued working there in different capacities until 1999. He was awarded a Master of Business Administration degree at INSEAD Fontainebleau in December 2000. After that, he spent the summer in Washington, DC at the International Finance Corporation of World Bank. He was employed by strategic consultants Booz and Hamilton until the end of 2002. He has been working for RAND Corporation Europe since 2003. He also holds a part-time job at The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague.
Upon the abdication of Queen Beatrix on 30 April 2013, the children of Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien ceased to be members of the Royal House, although they continue to be members of the royal family and remain in the line of succession.
