Pedrie Wannenburg is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on January 2, 1981 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Pedrie Wannenburg (born on January 2, 1981, from Nelspruit) was a South African rugby union player who is a coach for Austin Elite Rugby in North American Major League Rugby. He was a player for Austin in the year 2018 Denver Stampede in the now extinct PRO the Rugby League of America as well as Castres Olympique for two seasons following two years at Irish team Ulster.

In June of 2010, he decided to embark on the challenge of a new one with Ulster in Ireland playing for both the Heineken Cup and Pro12. Ulster’s 2012 Heineken Cup Final defeat to Leinster. He quit Ulster at the close of the 2011-2012 season , and signed a two-year deal with French club Castres.

Wannenburg signed to the Denver Stampede in early 2016, and currently captains the team.

He was previously a member of his team the South African Bulls in the southern hemisphere Super 14 competition, in the record-setting team run of 99 matchesthat spanned seasons 2002-2010, with the total of 106 matches for the team.

Wannenburg made his debut for the provincial team in 2001, playing against the Golden Lions. In 2002, Wannenburg was able to make his Super Rugby debut against the ACT Brumbies. Wannenburg is the only player who played 100 matches for the Blue Bulls and also 99 consecutive games for the Bulls. He was awarded three Super Rugby titles with the Bulls in 2007 and 2009 and 2010 along with five Currie Cups, and became the club’s most popular player, by completing an impressive 114 Super Rugby appearances.
