Norman Ligairi is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on January 29, 1976 in Nadi, Western, Fiji. Norman Armstrong Senibici Ligairi (born 29 January 1976 in Nadi) is a Fijian union rugby player, who is usually a fullback. He is a representative of Fiji on the international stage in both the 15-a-side as well as the seven-a-side match. Ligairi is the only Fijian who has scored two tries against All Blacks in a game.
Ligairi was named twice during the next year. He was later a part of his country’s Pacific Islanders in the matches against Australia and South Africa. He was selected 8 times during 2005 which included traveling in November. In 2006, he was member of the Fiji sevens team, which took home bronze in the rugby competition during the Commonwealth Games. He then played in the first Pacific 5 Nations for Fiji. He currently plays in the Pro D2 Competition for La Rochelle in the Pro D2 Competition.
After games with Argentina as well as Chile, Ligairi was included in the Fiji team during the 2003 Rugby World Cup which was hosted by Australia. The defender scored two goals during the match in which he played against Japan.

Ligairi made his debut for the international team in May 2000 , playing Tonga in Nukualofa. He was later a part of the following four internationals during the season. In 2001, he was selected five times by Fiji and, following additional Tests in June 2002 , he visited the northern hemisphere during November and played in games with Wales, Ireland and Scotland.
He is married to Dr.Lelea Naikatini Ligairi who is an ophthalmologist at the CWM hospital in Suva. They have one child, a baby boy. She was crowned Miss Bula – 2003 (A beauty Queen Contest) in Nadi. She met ‘Storming Norman’ in 2003 while she was the resident doctor at the Nadi Hospital. Norman was in camp in Nadi preparing for the 2003 Rugby World Cup at that time.
