Nizaam Carr (born on April 4, 1991, from Cape Town) is a South African rugby union footballer who plays as flanker or as number 8. He is a player in the club Wasps and is part of the English Premiership. He is known for his athleticism as well as his linking skills.

Carr began in the 2013 Super Rugby season on the bench, however injuries to Siya Kolisi forced him to being the sole player to play the final 11 games of the Stormers campaign wearing the jersey number 6. He returned to his favorite number 8 spot in 2014. Currie Cup Premier Division, which saw his team finish their season in the top spot.

In 2016, Carr was included in a South Africa ‘A’ squad that played a two-match series against a touring England Saxons team. He was named in the starting line-up for their first match in Bloemfontein, but ended on the losing side as the visitors ran out 32–24 winners. He was named on the bench for the second match of the series, coming on as a first-half replacement in a 26–29 defeat to the Saxons in George.

On 30 October 2017, Carr signed a 3-month deal to join English Premiership side Wasps. He rejoined the team on a full-time basis after the 2018 Super Rugby season.

In October 2014 He was invited to the South Africa national rugby union team to play in their 2014 season-ending internationals of the union. On November 22 He was able to make his Springbok test debut against Italy National team.

The family was born in Cape Town, Carr attended Bishops and was a member of their First XV during the years 2008 and in 2009. Carr went into the ranks of juniors in Western Province, playing Craven Week in 2009 before he made it into the senior squad in 2011 in which he played his first game with the Golden Lions. A string of impressive outings wearing the Western Province jersey eventually saw him selected for the Stormers Super Rugby squad for the 2012 season. He had a total of 7 appearances before a knee injury ended his season. However, he came back in 2013 and made 14 games for the Stormers and also assisted in helping Western Province reach the final of the Currie Cup.
