In the qualifying round for the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup, Alyan was awarded his first official Palestinian cap. The call-up was made after Mousa Bezaz had publicly stated that he wouldn’t consider Alyan because of his age. He scored two goals against Bangladesh in his first match. It was a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh. He saw one of his goals hit the post in the next game against the Philippines. Two days later, he continued his fine form against Myanmar, scoring Palestine’s opening goal and the final goal of the match.

Alyan was an Arab citizen of Israel and grew up in Jerusalem. After spending time with Beit Safafa, his neighborhood side, Alyan joined Hapoel Jerusalem’s youth set-up as a nine year-old. Alyan was a leading scorer at Hapoel Jerusalem’s youth levels. Alyan signed his first contract in 2002 with Beitar Ironi Maale Adumim. He scored 18 goals and was the team’s top scorer. Alyan signed a contract with Beitar Ironi Maale Adumim in 2002. He scored 24 goals for Bnei Lod, which was a record for the team. He joined Ironi Nes Tziona, later renamed Sektzia Nes Tziona. In the following season, he scored 28 goals to help them gain promotion to Liga Alef. Hapoel Bnei Lod was impressed by his prolific scoring at lower levels of the Israeli League and decided to sign him again. Lod was promoted to the second tier in the Israeli league Liga Leumit thanks to his 11 goals. The next two seasons he spent at Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv FC. He was playing in the third division at the time. He was on loan to Maccabi Kfar Qara for his final season.

He signed his first professional contract in 2009 with Jerusalem-based Hilal al-Quds. He was the West Bank Premier League’s top scorer with 15 goals. He was again the league’s top scorer, scoring 20 goals. In his second season, he managed to manage an incredible 13 goals in Palestine FA Cup, which led Hilal Al-Quds and the title. In 2010-11, he scored a total 35 goals in all three domestic competitions.
