Botha was a key player in the Saracens’ win of the English Premiership 2010-11. He made 27 appearances along the way and was included in the Sky Sports Dream Team 2011. Botha also started in the first ever Aviva Premiership match to be played at Saracens’ new ground Allianz Park, in a 31–11 victory over Exeter Chiefs. Botha came off of the bench as a second-half substitute for Alistair Hargreaves to help Saracens to a 27–16 victory over Ulster in the quarter final of the Heineken Cup setting up a semi final with Toulon at Twickenham. So far in the season, Botha has made 24 appearances for Saracens, scoring 1 try.
Botha, a former player with the Bedford Blues National League 1 team, was signed by Saracens during the summer 2009. On 5 September 2009, he made his debut in the London Double Header against London Irish. In the 60th minute, he was substituted for Hugh Vyvyan, a fellow Saracens lock. Mouritz was a huge success in his first season with Saracens. He quickly became a fan favourite. Mouritz made his debut in the Guinness Premiership Final for Saracens. In this game, he was again used as a substitute. In the 2009-2010 season, he made 32 appearances and scored one try.
