Michael Bercovici, born February 9, 1993, is an American football coach. He was also a former quarterback and currently works as an assistant for Arizona Cardinals. He played college football for Arizona State. After the 2016 NFL Draft, he signed as an undrafted agent with San Diego Chargers. He has also been with the Cardinals’ and San Diego Fleet.

Nelson was finally announced as the starting quarterback for the game against the Atlanta Legends the following week. After Nelson had suffered a clavicle injury in the previous game, Bercovici was reintroduced to the starting position against the Salt Lake Stallions. Bercovici completed 22 out of 43 passes for 304 yard with a touchdown, interception and a 45-yard pass to Dontez Ford on that final drive. This set up Donny Hageman’s game-winning field goal to secure a 27-25 San Diego victory. In April 2019, the league was officially discontinued.

On October 4, 2014 Bercovici threw a 46-yard Hail Mary with time expiring to beat USC in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum 38–34. Bercovici ended the game with a record-setting performance, throwing for 510 yards and 5 touchdowns – the most ever thrown by a USC opponent.

After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, Bercovici was signed by the San Diego Chargers. He was eventually featured on the NFL Network show Undrafted. On September 3, 2016, he was released by the Chargers during the final roster cuts. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Chargers on January 10,

2017. He was waived on September 2, 2017.

Bercovici was a true freshman in 2011 and appeared in three games. He completed 2-of-3 passes for 15 yards. He redshirted his 2012 season. He was a redshirt sophomore and appeared in four special-teams games in 2013. He was able to complete 3-of-4 (75%) passes for 18 yards with a quarterback rating 112.8. He also ran the ball 10 times, for 46 yards. He was a redshirt junior and appeared in eight games, three of which were starts. After Kelly was hurt, he took over for Kelly. Becovici completed 115-of186 (61.8%) for 1,445 yard and 12 touchdowns, as well as four interceptions. He also ran the ball 26 times, gaining 16 yards. He was a redshirt senior and was the team’s starting quarterback in 2015. He was unanimously elected team captain and a member of the team’s leadership committee. He played in all 13 of the games. He was 59-.9% efficient and completed 318 of 531 for 3,854 yards with 30 touchdowns, nine interceptions, and a total of 59.9%. He also ran the ball 109 times, gaining 84 yards. His 30 touchdowns tied the Arizona State school mark for most touchdown passes in one season. His 531 passes set the school record for most attempts per season.
