Michael George van der Spuy, born 20 February 1991 in Bethlehem, is a former South African rugby league player. He played Super Rugby with Stormers and the Cheetahs, and Currie Cup rugby alongside Western Province, Griquas, and the Free State Cheetahs. His usual position was center. On medical advice, he retired in 2017.
He made eight appearances in 2012 Vodacom Cup competition and scored one try. However, he was limited by injuries to his participation in the Currie Cup season.
He joined Kimberley-based side Griquas prior to the 2015 season.
He signed a contract to join Bloemfontein-based side Free State Cheetahs prior to the 2016 season on a two-year contract.
He made his class debut for Western Province at the 2011 Vodacom Cup competition. He started in the match against Pumas and scored a try in seven minutes. He was substituted against the Leopards the next week.
