Michael Jermain Nottingham, born 14 April 1989, is a professional footballer who plays as the defender for League Two club Crewe Alexandra. He was loaned from Blackpool.

Nottingham was born in Birmingham, West Midlands. His heritage qualified him for Saint Kitts and Nevis. In June 2017, he was called up to the national team for two friendly matches in Europe against Armenian and Georgia. On 4 June, he made his debut in Yerevan. He played the first 68 minutes of their 5-0 loss to Armenia. He was substituted in the 3-0 loss to Georgia in Tbilisi three days later.

Nottingham signed for Crewe Alexandra on a six-month loan deal on 16 January 2020, and made his Crewe debut two days later in a 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town at Gresty Road. He scored his first Crewe goal, the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Exeter City, on 3 March 2020.

After Solihull’s promotion from the National League in May 2016, he decided to join Salford City, newly promoted to the National League North. This was for personal reasons. He wanted to live further north with his partner. He played in 44 league games and scored ten goals. He was also named the Supporters’ Player of the year and the National League North Team of the year for the second consecutive season. He won the National League North in his second season as Salford were elevated to the National League as champions. In 42 games, he scored four goals and was named Team of the Year.

Nottingham began his career in the Northern Premier League Division One South along with Romulus, Castle Vale JKS and the Midland Football Combination. Redditch United, the Southern Football League Premier Division side, was also his home in 2011. He signed with Midland Football Alliance side Gresley in October 2011. He made his debut against Causeway United. They were champions for the 2011-12 season, and were promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One South. Nottingham was awarded the Gresley Directors’ Award. He won the Directors Award again in his second season and was named the Northern Premier League Division One South team of the year. Gresley saw him in eighty competitions, scoring nine goals.

He signed for Solihull Moors, a National League North side in the summer 2013. Nottingham played in 29 games and scored six goals. He was also an integral part the team’s 2015-16 campaign as Solihull won the title. At the end of the campaign, he won a variety of awards including the Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player Of The Season. For the first time, he was named to the National League North Team Of The Year. After more than 100 appearances, it was his final season at the club.

On 21 May 2018, after Nottingham’s contract with Salford City had ended, he joined League One club Blackpool on a two-year deal.
