Le Bourgeois was the first Jersey academy graduate to sign a professional Jersey contract. Le Bourgeois was the Jersey’s top scorer in National League 1 during the 2011-2012 season, when Jersey were promoted to Championship. Le Bourgeois, along with Ross Broadfoot, was also listed among the top ten National League 1 kickers. He scored Jersey’s first Championship attempt at Headingley Stadium against Leeds Carnegie later in 2012.
Le Bourgeois has been regarded as a role model in Jersey. Le Bourgeois was convicted of drink driving, theft, driving without insurance, and driving without a valid driving license in August 2011. He was suspended from driving for 23 month and fined PS1,600. Jersey also banned him from driving for one match, which meant he could not play against Birmingham & Solihull R.F.C. He later apologised and was banned by Jersey for one match.
