Maxwell (Max) Oren Seibald was born August 14, 1987 and is a former professional player in lacrosse for the Boston Cannons. He was a midfielder. Cornell University graduated him in 2009. He was a two-time Team USA participant and a Tewaaraton Award recipient. In 2018, he played for Team Israel.

Seibald, a sophomore, was one of five finalists for 2007 Tewaaraton Trophy. This trophy is awarded to the best collegiate lacrosse player in America. In 2009, he was awarded the Award and became the fourth second-year winner. He was awarded the Marty Glickman Outstanding Jewish Scholastic Player of the year by the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame that year.

Seibald was selected 2nd overall by the Denver Outlaws in the 2009 Major League Lacrosse draft. He was a 2009 MLL All-Star.

As a senior, he received the Lowe’s senior class award, and the 2009 Charles H. Moore Award – Cornell University Outstanding Senior Varsity Athlete.

Seibald was the Big Red’s highly-powered offense, leading them to an undefeated regular and 2007 NCAA Final Four.

Hewlett High School was where Seibald was a high school All-American in lacrosse. He was also named to the Newsday 2004 All Long Island Empire State team. He lettered in soccer, track and football and was the school’s Male Athletice of the Year as a senior. He attended Camp Starlight in Starlight PA as a child and discovered his passion for lacrosse. He was also attending New York University Stern School of Business in 2016.

On September 9, 2009, Seibald was selected 8th overall by the Boston Blazers in the indoor National Lacrosse League draft, and was traded to the Philadelphia Wings shortly into the 2010 season.
