Fondy signed with Louisville City in the USL in January 2015, after a brief stint with Chicago Fire in 2014. On April 25, Fondy scored his first goal against the Tulsa Roughnecks in Slugger Field.
On June 27, 2016, the Carolina RailHawks, later North Carolina FC, announced that Fondy had been acquired from Jacksonville Armada.
Fondy transferred to Jacksonville Armada in February 2016.
Fondy signed with the Los Angeles Blues, USL Pro, on January 13, 2012. He was transferred to Chivas USA, Major League Soccer on August 30, 2013.

Fondy was educated at Burlingame High School. He played four years of college soccer for the University of California Santa Cruz where he was an NSCAA Division III All American – Third Team member in 2009.
Fondy was undrafted from college but signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, the USL Pro league. Fondy made his professional debut in April 2011, in a match against the Richmond Kickers. Fondy scored his first professional goal in a 2-0 victory against F.C. New York
On September 2, 2015 Fondy set a new USL single season goal scoring record with a hat trick against Harrisburg in a 4-0 win, giving him 21 goals on the season.
