Manset was signed by Championship club Reading for an undisclosed amount for a two-and-a half-year contract on the 21st of January, 2011. Manset began his first game for Reading on the 22nd of January, 2011 as a substitute 22 hours later after signing with Reading. On the 1st of February, 2011 Manset scored his first strike for Reading after coming in as a substitute, scoring what appeared like an injury-time goal during the draw with Cardiff City. On the 4th of February, the 4th of February, Manset made his debut off of the bench to face league leaders Queens Park Rangers. On the 19th of March, the 19th of March, 2011, Manset made an appearance off of the bench for Barnsley scoring the decisive goal at the end of the minute of the game to keep Reading’s push for promotion alive. Manset made his debut in the match against Nottingham Forest on 9 February 2011, winning 4-3. On August 6, 2011, Manset came on as substitute to Noel Hunt and scored two goals in the space of three minutes to salvage the team from a draw of 2-2 in the match between Reading at Millwall. The first was a 25-yard strike and the second was a header after his cross by Jimmy Kebe. Manset got his 5th goal in the game for Reading with a back-heel goal in the closing minutes of extra-time in the 3-2 victory against Bristol City.

In 2011–12 season, Manset made six starts and scored two goals. In the last day of the transfer window, Crawley Town manager Steve Evans revealed that he had tried to sign Manset on a last minute deal only to be rejected. Reading manager Brian McDermott prepared to loan out Manset to afford him regular first-team football. He subsequently signed for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua on loan until 30 June. He scored his first goal for Shenhua on 27 May 2012 during Shenhua’s 2–1 victory at home against Guizhou Renhe. Manset scored 1 goal in 9 appearances for Shenhua.

Manset signed a one-year deal with Coventry City on 7 August 2013 despite Coventry being under a transfer embargo. Having not played for the first team since October, his contract was terminated by mutual consent in January 2014.

Manset was born in Metz and began his football career in his home town of France in Le Havre AC. In the 2007-08 campaign, he was able to make it into the reserve team, which were part of the Championnat de France amateur, the fourth-tier in French football. Manset went on to play eleven league games and scored only one goal with the team in the course of the season. The subsequent year, Manset played a further 12 matches with Le Havre Reserve but failed to score. Manset’s last game with Le Havre came in the 1-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain Reserve at the Parc des Princes on 8 May 2009.

In the opening stage of the FA Cup, in the victory of 2-0 over Sutton United, Manset put Hereford ahead within six minutes. But, after about half an hour of playing Manset was sent off for violent conduct following a incident in which his reaction was badly harmed by the challenge of Alan Paulton. The first goal he scored during League Two came in the 3-1 victory away to Northampton Town on 1 December 2009. In the latter part of the year of 2010 Manset was in goalscoring performances under new manager Jamie Pitman, and was involved with several clubs in the Championship.

On 13 July 2012, Manset moved from Reading to Sion on a 3-year contract for an undisclosed fee. Manset made his debut for Sion coming on as a second-half substitute and scoring the only goal from the penalty spot in a 1–0 victory over Servette. On 4 September 2012, Manset was suspended by Sion for 3 weeks after being found in the early hours of the morning in a Lausanne nightclub the day before Sion’s game away to FC Zürich.
