Mark Jonathan Pincus (born February 13th 1966) is an American Internet entrepreneur known as the creator of Zynga the mobile social gaming firm. Pincus also co-founded the companies Freeloader, Inc., Tribe Networks, and Support.com established and established an incubator called SuperLabs which was later purchased by Zynga and also co-founded the political organization, Win the Future. Pincus was CEO of Zynga until July 2013 before returning from 2015 to in 2016.

Then he founded his second business, Support.com, in August 1997. As the CEO and Chairman of the Board, Pincus built the company to become a top provider of assistance desk automation software. The company was listed on the stock exchange in July 2000 with the $1.5 billion value. In 2002 SupportSoft changed their name to Support.com and changed its name to SupportSoft, Inc.

In 2003, at age 37, Pincus founded his third startup, Tribe.net, an early social network. Tribe.net partnered with major local newspapers and was backed by The Washington Post, Knight Ridder Digital, and Mayfield Fund and Guy Spier,. In 2007, Cisco Systems acquired the core technology of Tribe.net to develop a social networking platform for its digital media services group.

In July 2007 Pincus founded his fourth company, Zynga Inc. Zynga developed games on top of social networks such as Facebook, Myspace, and Bebo.

The year 1995 was the time that Pincus established his initial business, Freeloader, Inc. Freeloader was supported by Fred Wilson and Softbank. The company was bought just seven months after its creation through Individual, Inc., for $38 million. Sean Parker worked as a summer intern at Freeloader when he was just 14 years old. He was a co-founder of Napster and Pincus was the first investor in Napster with a $100,000 investment.

Pincus was a student at Francis W. Pincus and Hoffman have never enforced the patent.
