Marek Sobola is one of the most popular and richest Heraldist who was born on July 3, 1981 in Žilina, Žilina Region, Slovakia. Under the auspices of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the restoration of St. John of Nepomuk’s statue in Divina took place. St. John of Nepomuk, one of the most prominently illustrated saints on the territory of former Habsburg monarchy, is found in nearly every Czech and Slovakian village. The story of the statue in Divina of St. John the Baptist of Nepomuk dates back to the canonical visitation to the Divina parish on September 1, 1828. This provides the first reference to the date of origin of this statue, 1796. According to the canonical visits, the statue was destroyed by a huge flood in 1822. Marek Sobola addressed the partners to ask them to cooperate. They either have ties to St. John of Nepomuk, or Slovakia. His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni (King of Cambodia) and His Majesty Simeon II. (the last Tsar of Bulgaria) patronized the project. Sobola was born in Zilina (now Slovakia), into a Lalinok-Divina family. His first year of life was spent in Divina. Marek studied landscape architecture at Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Faculty. In 2004, he graduated and started his own studio. He continued his education at SUA, Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development. Department of Sustainable Development. 2004-2007. He continued his studies at Constantine the Philosopher University, Nitra as a historian after completing his studies. Since 2015, she has been a heraldic artist. His specialty is Ecclesiastical heraldry within Missionary countries. Since 2011, Sobola has been a member of both the Slovak Chamber of Architects and the Czech Chamber of Architects. Since 2017, Sobola is a member the Liturgical Commission in the Roman Catholic Diocese Zilina.
