Lubomir Geraskov is one of the most popular and richest Artistic Gymnast who was born on December 27, 1968 in Sofia, Sofia Province, Bulgaria. Lubomir Gueraskov, a Bulgarian citizen, was born in Sofia, his hometown. He was only a few kilometers from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Lubomir was subject to strict education under communist law. However, this was when his gymnastics talents began to be noticed by many.

Lubomir, along with most of his teammates, moved to the United States at the end of his professional career. In 2005, Lubomir was named the Coach of the Year for the Midwest Region 5 and Michigan.

Only 18 years old, Lubomir Gueraskov won the bronze medal in the pommel horse as well as the floor exercise at 1987 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won the Olympic Games gold medal in Seoul Korea a year later, scoring a perfect 10. At only 19 years old, he became the second man to win a medal in gymnastics. His gymnastic career was completed by Lubomir’s induction into the Bulgarian Sports Hall of Fame. He is a well-known figure in men’s gymnastics in Bulgarian history.
