Junior Poluleuligaga (born 5 February 1981) is an Samoan union player in the international rugby league. He is currently playing with Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership. He is a scrum half and attended De La Salle College, Mangere East. His name is usually abbreviated as Junior Polu.
In the off-season prior to the 2008/09 season, he joined Harlequins but then he moved to So’oialo. Since then, he has eliminated his main rival for the bench seat in the second row behind England the scrum-half Danny Care. After his Harlequins contract ended during the heat of summer 2009, he signed with his club the Bay of Plenty Steamers in the Air New Zealand Cup.
In 2010 Junior Polu was selected for the Waikato Chiefs as a backup Scrum Half for Brendon Leonard. On 21 February 2010 Junior Polu was selected ahead of Leonard at No. 9 against the Lions.
After an excellent performance in the Pacific Islanders tour Polu represented Samoa in the IRB Pacific Nations Cup in the summer of 2007 because of his absence from So’oialo. He was once again the 2nd choice for So’oialo, but his luck was due to the shift.

A large portion of the career of Junior Poluleuligaga was dependent on his opponent Steve So’oialo. Polu started his career after getting into his first team, the North Harbour provincial side, being picked by his place in the Samoan national team in 2006 was picked to represent the national team of his country’s parents, playing for the a composite side Pacific Islanders as a Samoan who was not selected during the 2004 tour because of being a So’oialo player.
So’oialo as well as Polu were both picked as part of the 2007 RWC team, in the context of how Samoa was hoping to upset the 2003 champions England and then eventual the champions South Africa. Polu was chosen ahead of So’oialo to play in the opening game against springboks and they were beaten in spite of a positive start. After having travelled to France to participate in the world cup, Polu was signed by RC Toulon on a short-term contract.
On 17 August 2010 Exeter Chiefs announced that they had completed a deal and visa for Junior. It was announced in local media in Devon, England that Polu will be leaving Exeter Chiefs at the end of the 2012/13 season.
