The Falcons were ranked sixth on the log, which resulted in them being as part of the 2014 Currie Cup First Division. Jonck started their semi-final when the Falcons created a stir when they defeated the Leopards team who finished on at the top of the log, 31-24 in a game in Potchefstroom. He also began the final but finished in defeat, after a victory of 23-21 for the Griffons allowed them to win the championship for the first time in the past six years.
