Jonathan Boutin is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on March 28, 1985 in Granby, Quebec, Canada. Jonathan Boutin (born March 28 1985) is a professional Canadian-German goalie in ice hockey. He currently plays for the German DEL2 team, EC Bad Nauheim. He was first chosen in the third draft at 96th overall with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Boutin was born in Granby, Quebec, and was granted German citizenship in May of 2016.

Boutin was a player with The Lausitzer Fuchse, a professional team from Germany’s 2nd Bundesliga during the 2009-10 season. He also received the Goalie of Year award. He later signed for Lillehammer Ishockeyklubb which is a club that is based in Lillehammer and playing in GET-ligaen which is the most prestigious Norwegian league for ice hockey, which is run by the Norwegian Ice Hockey Federation. He was a part of 42 games with Lillehammer in the 2010-11 season before moving into Lausitzer Fuchse for the following season, playing until the conclusion of the season of 2014-15. Between 2012 and 2013,, he was named 2nd Bundesliga Goalie of Year.

In October 2015, Boutin inked a deal with another club from Germany’s second division, EHC Freiburg, for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign. Boutin was granted German citizenship on May 24, 2016 and signed with Augsburger Panther of the country’s top-tier Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) the same day.

After two seasons in the DEL with Augsburger, Boutin returned to the DEL2 as a free agent, agreeing to a one-year deal with EC Bad Nauheim on March 28, 2018.

In 2007 and 2008, Boutin was a player during the 2007-2008 season in Norfolk, VA with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. He was a part of 38 games and earned the penalty of 25 minutes. He played 2070 minutes wearing the Admirals jersey during the season. Boutin scored the following statistics: 13 victories, 17 loss and three points of offensive total loss OTL). He had an average of 3.31 GAA and a .900 save percentage. While playing in which he was playing The Worcester Sharks, Boutin got involved in a dispute with the former Sharks prospects Thomas Greiss.
