Van Kampen was 1-0 in 2006 Haarlem Baseball Week with a 3.18 ERA. This was for the Dutch champion squad. He went 2-0 in 2007, with 8 saves, a Kinheim ERA of 1.05 and only three walks in 25/3 IP. He tied Dave Draijer as the circuit’s save leader and was tied with Draijer second in games pitched (23), one shy of Stephen Spragg. In the playoffs, he struck out eight batters in four innings.
