Norman was among the first to be baptized in the Cathedral of the Assumption of our Lady in Heaven as well as St Nicholas, and grew up in Water Lane on Bohermore. After completing his Leaving Certificate in 1988, he was employed at the Zhivago Music store before obtaining an employment in 1990 with Radio West, a precursor to Galway Bay FM. (Galway Cathredal began operations in 1965, and I believe the baptisms took place that occurred between 1965 and 1970.)
He started working for Galway Bay FM in 1992 and was primarily in charge of the Breakfast show up until 2012 when he asked for a shift to afternoon radio. then he returned to his Breakfast Show Breakfast Show in April 2013.
He graduated from Galway Business School in 2012 with a First Class Honours degree in Business Management, and in 2014 he graduated from NUI Galway with an master’s degree in Strategic Management, Innovation and People Management and Development.
