Jasa Veremalua is one of the most popular and richest Rugby Union Player who was born on May 29, 1988 in Fiji. Jasa Veremalua (born 29 May 1988) is an Fijian Union rugby player that is a member of the San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby (MLR). He is also a member of Fiji Sevens. Fiji 7s squad. Veremalua played his first game for Fiji during the 2013 Wellington Sevens.
He was later picked by then Fiji seven’s head coach Alifereti dere, into the team of 7 players. In March 2013 the player was offered an agreement with Stade Toulousain to play in the Top 14 competition but due to an injury, the contract was withdrawn.
In 2016, his performance in the 2016 USA Sevens saw him win the DHL Impact player of the tournament.
Jasa Veremalua is a native of and was raised in Korotogo, Baravi, Nadroga and began his professional career in rugby playing with the 7’s local league. It has played for the renowned Red Rock 7’s Team since the year 2012. His father passed away in 2005, when he was just 19 years old. He was a student at Sigatoka Methodist Primary School then Sigatoka Methodist College and then was enrolled at St Thomas High School in Lautoka. Then he went on to Fiji National University in Ba to pursue its Diploma of Automobile as well as Road Transport studies. Then he joined Senibiau Rugby Club in Nadroga in 2006, and then joined Natabua Rugby club from 2010-2011.
The year 2012 was the time he was voted the most outstanding player and won in the Campese-Serevi Medal during the Coral Coast 7’s.
He was also instrumental in helping Fiji win their 2nd title in a row after Fiji took out the 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series during the 2016 London Sevens by reaching the cup quarterfinals. He was crowned the DHL Impact Player of the 2015‑16 7s series as well as making the Dream Team of the series.
