Jamie George, an English rugby union player, was born 20 October 1990 in Welwyn Garden City. He is a hooker for Saracens, the English Premiership. He represented England Rugby Team at the under-16, under-18 and under-20 levels, as well as the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

George was named in Stuart Lancaster’s 31 man squad for 2015 Rugby World Cup, just five days after making his international debut against France in the World Cup Warm Ups. He replaced Tom Youngs in 48 minutes.

George started the 2015 Aviva Premiership Final, and was the centre of added pressure and attention due to his promotion to the England squad. George responded well and starred during the match, running in one try from over 30-metres out, and passing the ball to Chris Wyles for his try.

In January 2016, George was announced in Eddie Jones’ first senior England squad for the 2016 Six Nations Championship and made his Six Nations debut against Scotland, replacing captain Dylan Hartley in their 15–9 victory on 6 February 2016.

George was George’s debut season with the Saracens. He was an understudy for Schalk Brits, who he called “a great role model”. His approach to rugby and life is admirable and there are many lessons I can learn from him. He made 20 appearances in the Aviva Premiership season and scored two tries. This helped Saracens secure a home semi final. As a replacement, Saracens won the Premiership title.
