Hugh Donnithorne Vyvyan, born 8 September 1976 in Guildford, is an ex-rugby union player who has played as a lock for the Newcastle Falcons Saracens and England. He is 6’6 inches tall and weighs in at 18 stone.

He has been a leader of both the Newcastle Falcons as well as the Saracens. In addition to leading them, he also accompanied England A on two Churchill Cup tours. In 2003, England A won the cup. In 2004, England A lost to New Zealand Maori in extra-time.

Vyvyan is the youngest of seven brothers. The brothers made rugby history in 1993 when they formed an entire team for the Penryn Invitation Sevens tournament. This event was held every Easter in Penryn (Cornwall). Hugh, Hugh, Charles, Jonathan, Charles and Simon Vyvyan, the Seven Vyvyan Brothers (Richard Jonathan, Charles, Simons, Simon, Paul, James, and Simon) won the tournament by defeating the host team 19 to 17. The title was defended by the brothers the next year, Hugh returning from South Africa to complete the number. The brothers won three times, and were runners-up twice.
