Before joining the Limpopo Blue Bulls’ parent club, the Blue Bulls, he played for them at the 2008 Under-16 Grant Khomo Week as well as the 2008 Under-18 Craven Week. He was a regular starter in both the 2012 Under-19 Provincial Championship and 2012 Under-21 Provincial Championship competitions.
His senior debut was in the 2011 Vodacom Cup match against the Border Bulldogs. Although he didn’t make it to the seniors in 2012 or 2013, he was part of the 2013 Vodacom cup squad. He made three starts in that squad before being included in the Bulls squad for the match against the Waratahs in 2013.
